When Madam Paulina de Valenzuela granted her will in Paris City (France) on the 4rd of April of 1936 generously left behind half of her properties with the objective or purpose of creating an institute for the abandoned infants in the city of Bogota which started to operate in 1940.
In principle, the product of madam´s Paulina properties was used in order to help to several existing works in the city but the main idea of the directors of the foundation was the one of having a proper branch, so that a piece of land was acquired for its operation located on the 106 street in Bogota city.
Once the construction of the building was over, the work was entrusted to the Daughters of Charity of San Vicente de Paul on the 15th of January 1950 since then and until the year 2000 the religious community served to the Foundation with the registered young girls.
From that year onwards, it started to be directed by committed lay people keeping their spirit of support to those vulnerable girls with low resources or in a risky condition. Currently we are located in Madrid Cundinamarca and we continue counting with the invaluable support of Mr. Germán Ribón family, our main benefactors.
